Rocky Mountain Towel Party: The Spa at Jasper Park Lodge
Undress, unwind and enjoy spa life in the Canadian Rockies
The good folks at Fairmount Hotels sure know what it takes to entertain and Jasper Park Lodge’s newly minted (or eucalyptused) Rocky Mountain spa is no exception.
The Lodge is no doubt one of the highest-end hotels in the Rockies. It’s a great place to take in wildlife that ranges from elk and white-crowned sparrows, as well as marvel at the mountain-scapes. It’s been in business since the early 1920s and sports one of the finest golf courses in North
America. The addition of a $6.7 million, 10,000-square-foot Rocky Mountain spa in late 2010 only adds to the experience. It includes 10 treatment rooms, two couples’ rooms, rain showers, and hydrotherapy baths. In other words, it’s one heck of a place to wrap up in a towel, get a rub down, and totally and completely relax in the Rockies.
The Spa at Jasper Park Lodge comes at a price(signature body therapies such as the Sweet Maple Body Treat, All-Canadian Body Buffer, the
Skier’s and Hiker’s Retreat Body Experience and the Jasper Active Massage start at $129 and go way, way up) but this is one rub we think might just be worth the price admission. In fact, Conde Nest recently raked the spa as one of the top 10 Spas in Canada.
